Timothy John, DVMIt was while working for his family veterinarian in the San Francisco Bay area that Dr. John decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He attended Oregon State University, receiving his veterinary degree in 1990, and joined Pilchuck as a small animal practitioner the same year. Dr. John’s special interests are internal medicine and cancer therapy. He is known for his easygoing nature and good humor. Though serious about medicine, Dr. John is a prankster at heart, and not above providing well-timed comic relief for his staff. His time away from the hospital is spent with his wife, two children, and the animals that make up their “farmette” - three horses, three dogs, two cats, and eight chickens. He also enjoys camping and fishing. |

Tessa King, DVMAs the daughter of a veterinarian and practice owner, Dr. Tessa King grew up with veterinary medicine. As a young child she spent many hours with her parents at the veterinary hospital and was especially fascinated with her dad performing surgery on animals. By the time she was in junior high she was helping out with the kennel work and general cleaning. In high school and college she worked as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. Having experienced and enjoyed veterinary medicine from an early age, it seemed only natural to follow in her father’s footsteps to become a doctor of veterinary medicine. Dr. King grew up in West Seattle, graduated from Holy Names Academy and attended Washington State University where she received her degree as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She joined Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital’s small animal team in October, 2007. Her areas of special interest are ophthalmology and preventative medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her critters—two dogs, Alex and Lucy and kitty Oliver. |

Kevin Wilson, DVMDr. Wilson, another Oregon native, says it wasn’t quite divine intervention that led him to become a veterinarian, but rather a nagging voice in the back of his head telling him that it was what he was supposed to do with his life. He completed his veterinary degree at Oregon State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, and joined Pilchuck’s staff of small animal practitioners shortly thereafter. While working on an undergraduate degree in Animal Science, he traveled to Senegal, Africa, to provide veterinary herd management for the tribes of the Sahel Region. Dr Wilson’s interest in wellness programs has been a driving force from the outset of his veterinary career. His special interests at Pilchuck include dentistry and soft tissue surgery, with a focus on disease prevention and pain management. Dr. Wilson is an avid runner who enjoys distance racing. His best canine friend is, of course, a Greyhound. |
